Frequencies

The hertz (Hz) is the derived unit of frequency in the International System of Units and is defined as one cycle per second.

It is named after Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, the first person to provide conclusive proof of the existence of electromagnetic waves.

Frequencies are also the waveforms that makeup sound.

Sound is a wave of particles moving through the air, just like a wave moving across the surface of the water.

What is the Schumann Frequency?

The atmosphere is continuously resonating with a radio frequency of 7.83 Hz, along with progressively weaker harmonics at 14.3, 20.8, 27.3 and 33.8 Hertz.

These are what is known as the ‘Schumann resonance’.

How does Schumann Resonance affect humans?

If we are out of sync with Earth’s Frequency ‘Schumann Resonance’ we begin to exhibit signs of discomfort that can range from anxiety, insomnia, illness and a suppressed immune system.

Conversely, when we, as humans, are in sync with 7.83 Hertz, the body is able to heal and increase its vitality.

What is Earth’s Frequency?

The Earth behaves like a gigantic electric circuit. Its electromagnetic field surrounds and protects all living things with a natural frequency pulsation of 7.83 Hz on average.

The ‘Schumann Resonance’ is named after physicist Doctor Winfried Otto Schumann, who predicted it mathematically in 1952.

What note is 7.83 Hz?

Global military communications capitalise on this frequency.

When converted into sound waves, 7.83 Hz is a flat “B-2” (two octaves below the lowest note on a piano).

It is also the keynote to which Nikola Tesla tuned the North American Power Grid.

Understanding Chakra Frequencies for Healing

The seven chakras, each have an associated colour, but did you know that they each have a unique frequency as well?

Each chakra vibrates as a different frequency (the Solfeggio Scale) and learning to influence the chakra frequencies brings them into balance to clear energy blockages.

Root Chakra: Red, Frequency: 396 Hertz

Sacral Chakra: Orange, Frequency: 417 Hz

Solar Plexus Chakra: Yellow, Frequency: 528 Hz

Lower Heart: Yellow/Green, Frequency: 552 Hz

Heart Chakra: Green, Frequency: 639 Hz

Upper Heart: Blue/Green, Frequency: 624 Hz

Throat Chakra: Blue, Frequency: 741 Hz

Third Eye Chakra: Purple, Frequency: 852 Hz

Crown Chakra: Violet, Frequency: 963 Hz

If you practice healing and meditation in some form, then you have no doubt heard of the Chakras and the 7 areas in the body that make up this energy system.

The Solfeggio Frequencies is an ancient scale that also relates to healing and meditation.

These healing tones are centuries old and are recognised to have been created by a Benedictine Monk, Guido D’Arezzo, who was an Italian music theorist of the Medieval era.

He is regarded as the inventor of modern staff notation, that replaced neumatic notation.

Listening to music, created in one of the frequencies on this scale, will evoke a particular healing property.

There are, however, some that may overlap.

For example, 528 Hertz, the Solar Plexus Chakra, is known as the ‘love frequency’ and is therefore often linked to the Heart Chakra too.

In addition, 639 Hertz is also connected to the heart because it represents our connection and relationship to others.

In terms of benefits, listening to any of these frequencies will, in fact, have a knock-on effect for those on either side of the scale.

This knowledge is of tremendous support for spiritual healers, therapists and teachers, who might want to know which music to play, whilst working with clients and students.
